Each year CYC diarise planned events to cruise in company to share the experiences and perhaps learn from one another. Planned trips may include North up the coast line to the secluded anchorages at the Farne Islands or Holy Island. Or for a more party atmosphere South to the Tyne; and experience the delights of the Newcastle Quayside, knowing you don’t have to find a taxi home; but have your boat to sleep on.

Cruises in company allow the newcomers to the area to cruise with the more experienced to understand the new cruising grounds or for the less experienced to cruise in numbers for added safety.

Dependent upon the wind direction and sea states the Northumberland coastline has anchorages for all, some with micro breweries and local food restaurants nearby; or marinas to visit if you want a few more creature comforts like showers without the need for getting into your dinghy.
